Pray to God to bless you in your work. "The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong" (Eccl. 9:11); nothing prospers without a blessing. And what way to obtain it but by prayer? Pirates let empty vessels pass and repass without assaulting them; so doth Satan let souls that are empty of God, of Christ, of the Spirit, of grace pass and repass without tempting or assaulting of them.
